Hi guys! I'm Allison and I love what I do. I'm a documentary photographer based in Annapolis, Maryland and traveling throughout the world.
I grew up with my Mom in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Often being called the Gilmore Girls, she fostered a sense of adventure and curiosity in me at a young age. Ever since I can remember I've been creating and fascinated with anything art related. When I was in 5th grade, I picked up my grandfather's Konica camera and began styling my friends for mock photo shoots. From that moment on I've pretty much always had a camera by my side at all times.
In college, I received my BSBA in Business Management and an Art Minor at East Carolina University while also working as Photo Editor at the school newspaper, The East Carolinian. I fell in love with documenting people and telling stories through the newspaper and art classes as well as figuring out how to manage a business through classes.
I believe that every story has character, sparks of magic, and beauty. I can't wait to meet you and begin telling your story!

What is your style?
Documenting your story in a beautiful way that honors you is my personal goal. I want to capture the moments that make your family so amazing and unique. That's why I take the time to learn about you and your family before our sessions with questionnaires. For family sessions, I encourage families to do activities that they love to do like horse back riding, kayaking, or apple picking. For weddings, my brides typically care most about capturing moments between guests rather than detail photos. My style is all about relationships and the connections in your life. I notice the way your son might hold your pinky or the way your fiance kisses your shoulder. Those things are the big things. For me, the people in our lives are the most important and I love capturing your love.
How long have you been a photographer?
I truly began in 5th grade when I first picked up my grandfather's Konica 35mm camera, but I began making digital images in 2007 when I got my first Nikon D40 and taught myself how it worked. From there I went on to do photojournalism at The East Carolinian as both a photography and photo editor. I photographed my first portrait session in 2011 and have been documenting families from North Carolina to Philadelphia and in between. I absolutely love adding my photojournalistic style to tell your story.
How long does it take to receive my images?
My wait time, on average, is 3-4 weeks for family sessions and 6-7 weeks for weddings. This is due to the fact that I edit all images in-house. My philosophy is that the post processing is just as important as the actual documentation and I dedicate time to your images to ensure their perfection. I also believe that every client deserves the same amount of care and attention so I always edit in order of the event date.
How large are the images that you deliver? Can I make my own prints from them?
I shoot everything I do as a digital negative with the best equipment on the market which allow me to continually produce the highest quality images each time. I deliver both web-ready file sizes intended for sharing via social media, emails, or cell usage as well as print-ready file sizes intended for prints up to 8”x10” in size. With these files you will be able to make as many small prints for friends and family as you want. However, larger prints may be ordered directly through WHCC, White House Custom Colour, which is directly connected with your gallery of images that I send after our session.
Do you retouch our images?
I take a lot of photographs during your photo session and with your trust, I loosely edit them down to the 75-150 depending on your session. These images are toned and lightly adjusted to ensure nothing is a major distraction.
Do you travel for weddings and is there an additional cost?
Most definitely! My normal service area of MD, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC and within a 90 mile radius of my home in Annapolis, MD is included at no additional cost.
